Fuentesal & Arenillas
Julia Fuentesal and Pablo M. Arenillas, studied at the University of Fine Arts in Seville. Their work explores the past, present and future of social and ecological development. Through minimal actions, they analyse the difficulty of establishing links with others in contemporary urban spaces, trying to promote a critical reflection on the relationship between the public and private, intimate and social, and the valuable and functional spheres. Their work has been included in collections such as those of the Newcastle Foundation of Murcia, the Valdearte Foundation of Huelva and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid Foundation.
In 2015, they were granted the Iniciarte scholarship. Recently they take part in the exhibition ¿Qué sienten, qué piensan los artistas andaluces de ahora? at the CAAC in Seville and also, the exhibition Un lugar en el mundo at Fundación Caja Sol Obra Social in Seville, curated by Mariana Hormaechea. At the beginning of 2018 they were awarded by the Blueproject Foundation with a residence, whose conclusions were shown in the exhibition Gameshow / Playshow.
