Bio

The work of Álex Marco (Valencia, 1986) emphasizes the idea of not having any specific meaning, acting instead as an excuse to promote pictorial language as a means of representation. In this respect, an investigation in his works involving the line and the stain can be appreciated, as well as the graphic situations that are created from the use of ink and writing on the—often raw—surface of the canvas.

He has exhibited at centers and galleries such as Musart-Berlin (Berlin), Museo Centro del Carmen (Valencia), Maus Contemporary (Alabama), or MUA (Alicante). His work can be found in several collections such as the Martinez Lloret Collection (Alicante), the Michel Jolivet Collection (Lyon), SCAN (London), Related Group Collection of Miami or the DKV Collection, among others. At the same time, he has exhibited at a large number of national and international fairs such as ARCO, Artissima, ArtMad and ARTBO. Recently, he has been awarded with the 80 International Exhibition of Fine Arts of Valdepeñas.
