Ana Esteve Reig
The work of Ana Esteve Reig (Agres, 1986), develops mainly in the field of video art. Through her productions, the artist addresses issues such as the construction of social archetypes, the dichotomy between reality and fiction, and social dynamics in virtual reality.
With a strong interest in fiction, Esteve Reig approaches the role of the individual as a subject that belongs to a collective and complex reality through its cultural manifestations, its rituals and customs. The artist writes the script and elaborates the final montage in depth, meticulously selecting the locations, set and performers.
Her work has been recognized with the BBVA Video Art Creation Multiverse Scholarship, and has been recipient off aid from both the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Community of Madrid. Likewise, her work has been exhibited at the Valencia Institute of Modern Art in Alcoi, in the #Unmetroymedio project of Dos de Mayo Art Center and in Espai d’Art Contemporani de Castelló (EACC).
