We are pleased to present Blue, the first solo exhibition of the artistic-couple Lolo & Sosaku, in the Boiler Room of Luis Adelantado Valencia.
In Blue, there are a series of elements that fully define the career of these artists, in whose installations both a conceptual substrate and an implicit sound component coexist in harmony.
The pieces presented in our Boiler Room stem from an introspective work that is meticulous and deliberatein its observation, relating to the Japanese word Naiseiteki. We could define this concept as endogenesis, a creative process that arises from the nucleus and expands towards the surface.
At the core of their work we find a comprehensive analysis of ideas which draws from rationalistic sources. In Lolo and Sosaku’s universe there are many references, but electronic music is undoubtably one of the most significant ones; not only as an inspiration, but as a complex and post-industrial language, accompanying them in the materialisation of their ideology. Lines and materials take shape in contact with movement, another of the concepts upon which their project is based, and which is key to understanding their vision.
Ultimately, Lolo & Sosaku introduce us to their mindful view of current art, with an approach where borders are broken in order to speak to us about avant-guard.
