Boiler Room. ¿Cómo se conocieron? Florencia Caiazza EN

Florencia Caiazza (Buenos Aires, 1982) is returning to Luis Adelantado Valencia, after being selected in our CALL XVII International Call for Young Artists (2016) , with a new exhibition.

For this occasion, the artist has prepared a series of sculptures for which she worked with quite dissimilar and contrasting materials including cement and carpets, exploring possibilities beyond their conventional use. Florencia Caiazza is presenting a series of works that are the fruit of a long process, reflecting, internalising and fusing elements, eliciting a sense of dialogue amongst them. In addition, the artist has intervened the room with boudaries and borders as the core ideas for the spatial development of the installation. In formal terms, Florencia affects the reflection and duplicity of the elements.

Finally, and although using antagonistic materials, the artist achieves a harmonic and smooth result, transmitting to the viewer an idea of unity, which in turn is the outcome of reflecting on the context and language.

This installation has been created specifically for the gallery and visitors will be welcome from 29 June, for the opening, until 28 July.
